MYSTERY surrounds the identity of Limerick’s latest Lotto winner, who scooped €558,144 at the weekend.
According to the National Lottery, the winning ticket was purchased at Meaney’s Centra in Dromcollogher on Saturday - just hours before the televised draw. The winner has not yet come forward.
The lucky ticket holder will share the €3.5m jackpot with five other people across the country, who also had the same numbers.
Maura Meaney, who owns the Centra store in Dromcollogher, says there has been great excitement in the village since news of the win broke,
“No one has put their head forward yet to say they have won, we have not seen any big smiles from anyone yet. I would say it is a single winner because if it was a syndicate, we would have surely heard something by now,” she told the Limerick Leader.
Ms Meaney, who has been running the store in Dromcollogher for the past 23 years, added it is the stores second time having a Lotto winner, the last coming just a few weeks after they opened the store.
For the record the winning numbers in Saturday draw were 4, 5, 13, 21, 29 and 37. The bonus number was 22.
