WITH New Year's Eve upon us, there is a wide range of events taking place in Limerick with major bars and nightclubs across the city and county hosting parties.
Panto season has kicked into full swing as both Limerick Panto Society and CentreStage present their own versions of the much loved, colourful musicals Snow White and Beauty and the Beast respectively.
Popular local popsters We Should Be Dead headline proceedings in the Tait Square-based music venue Baker Place, while a reformed Frank and Walters and Sultans of Ping take to the stage in Dolan's Warehouse for a retro 'Reverberation Tour', with much-loved local trad band The O'Malleys hosting a party Upstairs in the Dock Road venue.
If you survive any or all of that and still feel like enjoying some more music, the friends of recently deceased Corbally musician Des O'Dwyer will host a tribute night in his name on New Year's Day, with a reformed Tuesday Blue on an extensive line-up, in Dolan's Warehouse on Saturday night.
