Man accused of illegally exhuming body from County Limerick graveyard

A man has appeared in court charged with illegally exhuming the body of a 95-year old man from a grave in County Limerick last year.

A man has appeared in court charged with illegally exhuming the body of a 95-year old man from a grave in County Limerick last year.

Donal Daffy, 59, of Skagh, Croom is accused of carrying out the exhumation on February 26, 2011.

Mr Daffy is alleged to have exhumed the body of Joseph 'Josie' Graham at Clounanna Cemetery, Patrickswell, without a licence to do so.

The case, which came before Newcastle West Court this morning, has been adjourned until February 14, next.
