THE LIMERICK Leader’s offices on O’Connell Street have now re-opened after a small fire broke out at the premises shortly after 8.30am this Thursday morning.
Smoke was seen coming from a computer server room at the back of the O’Connell Street offices shortly before 8.30am this morning.
Staff were evacuated as a precaution, in line with normal health and safety procedures, and the area was made safe, with three units of Limerick Fire Service quickly on the scene.
The offices were returned to normal and staff returned to the building shortly after 10am. The front office has now re-opened to the public.
