Two men arrested following robbery

GARDAI investigating a robbery at a premises in Ballyhea, Charleville last night have arrested two men.

GARDAI investigating a robbery at a premises in Ballyhea, Charleville last night have arrested two men.

The incident occurred at approx 8.45pm when two men entered the premises and threatened staff before leaving with a sum of money.

A car was stopped in Buttervant by Gardai a short time later and two men (aged 48 and 25) were arrested and a sum of cash recovered.

The two arrested men are being detained in Mallow Garda station under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended. Investigations are ongoing.
