The draws for the 2014 Limerick club championships are to be made at Annual Convention next month.
The norm was for the club championship draws to be made at the February County Board meeting.
But this Tuesday night, club delegates voted in favour of a change of bye law that means the draws move to Annual Convention.
Limerick GAA secretary Mike O’Riordan has confirmed that the bye law comes into effect immediately and therefore the county SHC, newly created Premier IHC, IHC, SFC and IFC will all take place on Sunday December 15 at the Limerick GAA AGM in the Castle Oaks Hotel in Castleconnell.
It was also revealed this week that the new Premier IHC will have an April start, with all other senior and intermediate hurling and football championships commencing in May.
Also, a look through this week’s newly ratified bye laws shows that the senior and intermediate County Cups are to remain in place.
Both championships will have 12-teams and operate with two groups of six.
In the respective championships, teams finished in fourth and fifth places will contest the respective County Cup semi-finals.
