LIMERICK FC moved up to sixth place in the Airtricity League Premier Division thanks to a 4-0 thumping of Bray Wanderers at the Carlisle Grounds.
Limerick FCs second successive win of the campaign sends The Super Blues into the top half of the top flight table and secures back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
The impressive win came compliments of a brace of goals from both Shane Tracy and Axel Bossekota.
To make Sunday’s win even more memorable many of the Limerick players were displaying new hair styles as part of their participation in the ‘Shave or Dye’ fundraising effort of the Make A Wish foundation.
Twice Bossekota struck in the space of four minutes with his first in the 17th minute.
Danny Galbraith was the provider and Bossekota showed great confidence to list the ball over the advancing Darren Quigley in the Bray goal.
Within five minutes Bossekota again had the ball in the net - this time volleying home in style when Shane Tracy crossed.
By half time the lead was three goals.
Shane Tracy showing that last Tuesday’s equaliser against Bohemians was no fluck with another stunning free-kick.
The fourth came in the 65th minute and the scorer was again Tracy and again it came from a delightful free-kick.
This time Galbraith was fouled and for the third time in the week the Ballysimon man curled to the net.
The final quarter saw the introduction of Pat Purcell for this first appearance of the season.
It was also a game that saw teenager Shane Costello start and another youngster Val Feeney made his debut as a sub.
Now unbeaten in four games, next up for Stuart Taylor’s men is the visit of Shelbourne to Thomond Park on Saturday evening.
