Belgian striker Axel Bossekota - who’s on trial with the club at the moment - opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with a fine strike but Cobh equalised early in the second half and then took the lead on the hour mark.

Substitute Cian Collins brought Limerick back to level terms on 75 minutes but the home side secured the win three minutes into injury time when Brian Fitzgerald goaled.

Limerick continue their preparations with a visit to Waterford Utd on Friday and they play Cork side Avondale Utd in the Munster Senior Cup on Sunday.
