LIMERICK professional boxer Andy Lee could be set for another world title bid.

Reports over the weekend suggest that the Castleconnell man could face Matt Korobov for the vacant WBO middleweight title on December 13.

Thirty year old Lee, who is now based in London, would box Korobov in Las Vegas and not Dublin as had been orginally hoped.

The Lee bout would be on the undercard of the Tim Bradley-Diego Chaves welterweight clash at the city’s Cosmopolitan hotel while there’s also the light welterweight meeting of Mauricio Herrera and Jose Benavidez Jr.

However, all has yet to be 100% confirmed.

Lee’s last appearance in the ring was back in July when eventually beat John Jackson at Madison Square Garden.

After struggling for periods during that fight, Lee found a dream punch to score a fifth round KO.

That made it five straight victories for Lee since losing to Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr in 2012 in his previous world title fight.
