Limerick colleges in Harty Cup action

There was a busy day of Limerick GAA club action this Saturday
TWO Limerick Colleges are in Harty Cup action this Wednesday afternoon.

West Limerick Colleges and Castletroy College both make their first appearances of the season in the Munster Post Primary senior A hurling championship.

West Limerick Colleges return after they were refused entry last season. They play one of the favourites Thurles CBS in Claughaun at 1.30

Castletroy College travel to Cahir to play De La Salle of Waterford, also at 1.30.

Limerick two other Harty Cup side, Ardscoil Ris and Doon are not in action today.

Charleville CBS played on Tuesday and were beaten by Our Ladys of Templemore 1-20 to 2-14.

Elsewhere in the Harty Cup this Wednesday, Kilmallock hosts St Flannans of Ennis and Blackwater, while Charleville plays host to St Caimins of Shannon and Youghal.

There are also a number of other Limerick secondary schools in senior hurling championship action this Wednesday.

In the senior B championship there is a local derby in Boher at 1.00 with Salesian College of Pallaskenry playing John the Baptist of Hospital.

In the Munster senior D competition there are three locals in action.

SMI Newcastle West play Meanscoil San Nicolas Ring in Castletownroche, Scoil Pol of Kilfinane play Colaiste Daibhead of Cork in Glanworth, while ST Clements play Colaiste Mhuire of Thurles in Newport.
