The former Cork All-Ireland winning coach also leaves his roles as coach to the 2015 Limerick minor hurling panel.

It is understood that the former Limerick, Cork and Antrim senior hurling coach is to assume the role of Midleton senior hurling manager in the coming season and therefore cannot commit to the necessary time with Limerick.

Wallace was coach to Brian Ryan’s Limerick minor hurlers that won back-to-back Munster MHC titles in 2013 and 2014.

In October Brian Ryan was replaced by Leo O’Connor as minor hurling manager for next season but Wallace was the only member of the out-going management to remain in place.

Since September 2012, Wallace has held the position of Director of Limerick’s Underage Hurling Academy, which oversees and offers support at all inter-county teams from U-14 to U-17.
