The fixture details for next month’s Limerick SFC and IFC finals have been finalised with Newcastle West confirmed as the venue for the senior decider.
With no team from the West taking part, it had been speculated that the venued could have been changed but Ballylanders and St Patrick’s will face off in Newcastle West on Sunday, October 12, at 3.30pm. That game will be preceded by the minor football final between Tory Gaels and Fr Casey’s at 1.30pm.
The intermediate football final will take place on the Saturday of the same weekend between St Senan’s and Na Piarsaigh in Askeaton. That game will throw in at 3.30pm.
This weekend sees the Limerick SHC semi-finals taking place on Sunday in the Gaelic Grounds. Doon play Kilmallock at 1.45pm while Ahane play champions Na Piarsaigh at 3.30pm. The final on Sunday, October 19, will be preceded by the County Cup final. The semi-finals of that competition take place this weekend with Ballybrown meeting Patrickswell at 3.30pm on Saturday in Claughaun and Effin taking on Murroe-Boher at 11.30am on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the group stages of the Premier MHC are almost completed with the remaining game between Patrickswell and Kilmallock to decide the last of the semi-finalists.
Na Piarsaigh will meet the winners of that game in the last four while Ahane meet Doon in the other semi-final. The semi-finals will be played as a double header under lights in the Gaelic Grounds on Wednesday, October 8.
