Rathkeale club St Mary’s-Sean Finns will play senior football in 2014 after an impressive 4-17 to 1-10 win over Oola in the Limerick IFC final in Bruff on Saturday.
Mark O’Sullivan helped himself to 1-9 while Eoghan O’Connor and Keith Harnett scored 1-2 each and Steven Power got their fourth goal.
Sean Finns were only four points up - 0-8 to 0-4 - at the break but four second-half goals saw them run out 16-point winners.
Harnett got their first goal after a sweeping move and O’Connor added their second shortly after.
A spectacular goal from Keith Bourke gave Oola a glimmer of hope but the winners responded well and a O’Sullivan’s strike along with a couple of nice points eased them towards the finish line and a late goal from sub Steven Power really put the icing on the cake.
