AFTER a surprise two point victory over a fancied St Senans side in the county final, Na Piarsaigh are now preparing for the Munster IFC semi-final where they meet Valley Rovers of Cork this Sunday (2.00) in the Gaelic Grounds.

The Caherdavin club will look to emulate their hurling counterparts who won Munster SHC titles in 2011 and 2013.

However, the Pat McHugh managed side will have it all to do against the Cork champions.

Na Piarsaigh are 3/1 outsiders while the Innishannon and Knockavilla combination are available at 3/10.

Valley Rovers boast Cork’s All-Ireland SFC winning pair of Alan Quirke and Fiarchra Lynch.

Quirke, a highly rated goalkeeper, has six Munster SFC medals for Cork and also featured for Valley Rovers when they last won the Cork Premier IFC in 2009.

That year they were beaten in the Munster semi-final by Cratloe.

Na Piarsaigh will be hoping that home advantage will help see them past the Cork champions in this provincial semi-final.
