The Limerick minor footballers face a big test in the Munster championship on Wednesday night when they travel to Pairc ui Rinn to take on Cork.

Limerick manager Jerry O’Sullivan from Newcastle West has named his team as they look to bounce back from a disappointing 2013 campaign when they lost to Waterford and Clare.

“Last year was disappointing, there is no doubt about that,” said O’Sullivan. “But when you look back at it we lost to Waterford and Kerry only beat Waterford by six points so there wasn’t that much between any of the counties.”

O’Sullivan is joined on the backroom team by selectors Sean Holmes, Brendan Casey and Garrett Noonan.

If Limerick beat Cork then they would progress to a semi-final against the side that comes through the back door. If they lose to Cork then they will play the losers of Kerry and Clare next Wednesday, April 23.

The game in Pairc ui Rinn throws in at 7pm.
