Ardscoil Rís chase victory in O'Dowd Cup U15 'A' Munster Hurling schools final

The Ardscoil Rís U15 'A' O'Dowd Cup squad

ARDSCOIL RÍS are chasing victory in the U15 'A' O'Dowd hurling Munster Cup glory as they face Midleton CBS this Wednesday, March 6 in Fethard at 1:30pm.

This will be the first Munster Cup appearance for the school since 2015. Before then Ardscoil won the competition in 2011 and 2012 with now famous Limerick hurlers Cian Lynch and Aaron Gillane on that team with Peter Casey playing on the 2012 squad.

The Munster final this year is made even more interesting as rivals Midleton beat Ardscoil Rís in the Rice cup U14 semi-final last year by 8 points with the Limerick school seeking revenge this Wednesday.

In the lead up to booking their spot in the Munster O'Dowd Cup Ardscoil beat De La Salle Waterford 3-22 to 1-13 in the quarter-finals and then St Flannan's of Ennis 4-16 to 0-8.
