New Limerick role for Anthony Daly
FORMER Dublin and Clare hurling manager Anthony Daly is to be the new Head Coach of Limerick’s Underage Hurling Academy.

FORMER Dublin and Clare hurling manager Anthony Daly is to be the new Head Coach of Limerick’s Underage Hurling Academy.

The two time All-Ireland winning Banner captain replaces Jerry Wallace, who departed the role just last Wednesday night.

This Monday afternoon came confirmation of the appointment of Daly to the Limerick role.

He is also to act as coach to the 2015 Limerick minor hurlers - a role also previously filled by Wallace.

As minor coach, Daly will work under manager Leo O’Connor and selectors John Mulqueen, Pat Donnelly and Brian Foley.

Daly met with members of Limerick’s Implementation Group, headed by Joe McKenna, this Monday to finalise details of the new role for the Clarecastle man.

As Head Coach of Limerick’s Underage Hurling Academy, Daly will have overall responsibilty for inter-county hurling teams from U-14 to minor level.
