THERE was bad news for Munster’s international players today when Ronan O’Gara, Dave Kilcoyne and Tommy O’Donnell were all overlooked for Sunday’s Six Nations game against Scotland in Edinburgh.

Veteran outhalf Ronan O’Gara has been left on the bench in favour of Ulster young gun Paddy Jackson while Dave Kilcoyne, who had been widely tipped to benefit from Cian Healy’s suspension, has been overtaken by Tom Court.

And there is further disappoiontment for Munster players with the news that Tommy O’Donnell missed out on making the matchday squad altogether as Declan Kidney instead opted for Iain Henderson as backrow cover with Devin Toner proving back up for the second row.

The upside for Munster was that Donncha O’Callaghan and Keith Earls were named in the second row and on the wing respectively. Donnacha Ryan retains his place as does Conor Murray.

The team in full is: Rob Kearney; Craig Gilroy, Brian O’Driscoll, Luke Marshall, Keith Earls; Paddy Jackson, Conor Murray; Tom Court, Rory Best, Mike Ross; Donncha O’Callaghan, Donnacha Ryan; Peter O’Mahony, Sean O’Brien, Jamie Heaslip. Replacements: Sean Cronin, Dave Kilcoyne, Declan Fitzpatrick, Devin Toner, Iain Henderson, Eoin Reddan, Ronan O’Gara, Luke Fitzgerald
