LIMERICK'S Co-Op Superstores Munster Hurling League fixture with Clare on Wednesday night next is officially a 'sell out'.

Munster GAA confirmed this Saturday that match tickets for the game, which is set to take place at Clarecastle GAA astro pitch at 7pm, have now sold out.

Munster GAA say that there will be no tickets available on match day and all supporters wishing to attend (including U16s) will not be admitted without a ticket.

Wednesday night's game is a repeat of the epic 2023 Munster senior hurling final when All-Ireland champions Limerick edged past their Mid-West rivals at the TUS Gaelic Grounds.

John Kiely's Limerick side begin their Co-Op Superstores Munster Hurling League campaign with a game against Cork at Mallow this Sunday, 2pm.

For that game, Na Piarsaigh's Emmet McEvoy will make his debut for the Limerick senior side after being named at right corner back, while eight other players are in line for their first inter-county outings.

Glenroe's David McCarthy is in goals behind a full back line of McEvoy, Dan Morrissey and Fergal O'Connor. Mark Quinlan, Ronan Connolly and Ciarán Barry make up the half back line.

Colin Coughlan and Barry Murphy are named in midfield, with Micheál Houlihan, Paddy O'Donovan and Cathal O'Neill picked in an exciting half forward line.

The full forward line is also one to watch out for with Donnacha Ó Dálaigh and Adam English either side of full forward Shane O'Brien.

Limerick's bench is also experimental with Joseph Fitzgerald, David Fitzgerald, Luke Flynn, Ethan Hurley, Mike Keane, Darragh Langan and Liam Lynch hoping to make their first inter-county senior appearance.

Gearóid Hegarty, Jamie Power, Aaron Costello and Oisin O'Reilly are the other players named on the Limerick bench.
