Limerick and Clare hurlers will meet in Sixmilebridge next Sunday in the quarter-final of the Wateford Crystal Cup.
Limerick had a facile 10-17 to 0-9 win over IT Tralee last Friday night while the All Ireland champions had a bye and so Sunday’s game will be their first outing of the year.
Both sides are likely to be without a number of players because of college commitments but a large crowd is expected in Sixmilebridge for the 2pm throw-in.
The other quarter-finals next weekend see Mary I play UCC, Tipperary play Kerry and UL play Waterford IT. The winners of the Clare/Limerick game will play the winners of Mary I and UCC.
