FOUR Limerick-based players have been named in the Irish U-20s squad for the upcoming RBS 6 Nations championship.

In-form Young Munster centre, Dan Goggin, who impressed with St Munchin’s College, Munster Academy scrum-half Jack Cullen, from Bruff RFC, and Garryowen FC winger Alex Wootton, who featured in last year’s U-20 World Cup, have been included in the squad along with Jack O’Donoghue, the Munster Academy and UL Bohemians back row, who has also been named in the Irish U-20s squad for the second consecutive year.

There are two more Munster players included, the Cork Con duo of hooker Max Abbott and prop Rory Burke.

Ireland U-20s begin their campaign against Scotland U-20s at Dubarry Park on Friday, January 31 at 7.05pm.

Ireland’s second fixture will be against Wales a week later at the same venue at 7.35pm.

Irish U-20s head coach, Mike Ruddock, commented: “We have a very competitive group this year with a number of players gathering invaluable experience with provincial A sides and in the Ulster Bank League.”
