Limerick side Kildimo-Pallaskenry were beaten 0-12 to 1-8 by Kerry champions Valentia in the Munster Club JFC ‘B’ final in Knockaderry on Sunday afternoon.

Although just a single point separated the sides at the final whistle, the Kingdom representatives tied up the result with a four-point blitz midway through the second half when they made maximum use of the strong breeze.

However, they were stunned by Peter Nash’s 14 metre free in injury time rocketing th ough the packed goal line and could have been caught again with the next movement as the Limerick champions piled forward only to see sub Ciarán Ryan’s shot skim across the face of the goals.

Key to the Kingdom side’s victory was the stupendous contribution of skipper Brendan O’Sullivan in midfield who not only mopped up most the primary possession and sprayed the passes around the forwards in front of him but also contributed three stylish points of his own. Kildimo’s attacks were based heavily around getting Nash into the scoring zone and his four scores before the break moved his side into a lead of 0-5to 0-4.
