Treaty United manager Tommy Barrett
TREATY United's SSE Airtricity League First Division promotion play-off hopes suffered a blow as they suffered a last gasp 1-0 defeat against Cobh Ramblers at St Colman's Park on Friday night.
Brendan Frahill was the Cobh hero netting in the fifth minute of added time from Jack Doherty's corner. The goal was heartbreaking for Treaty United who looked all set to pick up a valuable point on the road to that point.
It also ended Treaty's three-game unbeaten league run in the First Division, including two wins. The result has seen Treaty United drop to eighth place in the First Division table, five point off the promotion play-off spots, the final one of which is occupied by Wexford FC.
Cobh have proved something of a bogey for Treaty United as the Cork side has won three and drawn one of their four league meetings this term.
Treaty boss Tommy Barrett made one change from the side which drew with Waterford FC on Monday night for the trip to Cobh as Ben O'Riordan returned to the side in place of Robbie Lynch who moved to the bench.
Andy Spain also returned to the substitutes' bench, while striker Enda Curran missed out on the latest Munster derby through illness.
