Four Limerick schools learn fate in group draw for upcoming Dr Harty Cup

The draw has been made for the 2023/2024 Dr Harty Cup

THE draw has been made for the group stages of the upcoming TUS Munster GAA Post Primary Schools Under 19 'A' Hurling Dr  Harty Cup competition.

Four Limerick schools are competing in the competition. Two of those Limerick schools, Castletroy College and John The Baptist CS, Hospital, have been drawn together in Group E of the prestigious competition alongside CBS Secondary School, Carrick-on-Suir.

Five-time Dr Harty Cup winners Ardscoil Ris, who are one of four seeded teams for the competition as a result of reaching the semi-finals last year, have been paired with St Flannans College, of Ennis, De la Salle Waterford and Colaiste Choilm Ballincollig in Group C.

Meanwhile, Scoil na Trionoide Doon will compete in Group A along with Midleton CBS, Rice College Ennis and Christian Brothers College.

A total of 21 schools have entered the Dr Harty Cup in 2023/2024. They were drawn into three groups of four and three groups of three this Thursday evening.

Four of the group winners will qualify for the Quarter-Finals, while the two remaining group winners and 6 runners-up will contest Preliminary Quarter-Finals.
