The knockout stages of this year’s Limerick SFC were confirmed on Saturday evening when the final round of group games were played.
Champions Dromcollogher-Broadford joined Monaleen as one of the two automatic semi-finalists for topping their group while the quarter-finals will see St Kieran’s play Ballysteen and Ballylanders play St Patrick’s.
Drom-Broadford secured their 100% record with a 1-8 to 0-5 win over Ballylander to secure top spot in their group. Both sides were already through but Drom’s win ensure they go into the semi-final and Ballylanders go to the quarter-finals.
Ballysteen had an 0-11 to 0-5 win over Galbally to take third spot in that group while Fr Casey’s 1-16 to 1-4 win over neighbours Mountcollins sends Mountcollins into a relegation decider against Pallasgreen.
Pallasgreen started well against St Pat’s in Caherconlish but two goals each from Dermot Fitzgerald and Eoin Hanrahan helped move the Rhebogue club onto five points and head of Newcastle West and into third place.
