Kilmallock’s All Ireland club hurling semi-final and the Limerick footballers Division 3 league game against Tipperary have both been moved away from Semple Stadium this weekend after the ground failed a pitch inspection.

With forecasts predicting sub-zero temperatures over the coming days, the decision has been taken to move the two games that were supposed to take place as a double header on Saturday.

Kilmallock will now play Down champions Portaferry in Mullingar at 2pm instead while the Limerick footballers will take on Tipperary in Templetuohy on Sunday at 2pm.

Kilmallock’s game, which was originally supposed to be on TG4, will not be broadcast live now.
