THE Limerick senior footballers have been drawn to play Sligo in round 3A of the All Ireland SFC Qualifiers

The game will take place next Saturday July 12 in Sligo at 4.00.

The sides met in round one of Division Three of the National Football League back in February when Sligo were 0-15 to 0-13 winners over Limerick, who were rusty after not playing in the McGrath Cup.

Next Saturday will be the first ever championship meeting of the sides.

Limerick booked their place in the last 20 team still standing with a 3-11 to 0-15 win over Antrim on Saturday in the Gaelic Grounds.

It’s just the second time in the past 10-years that Limerick have put back to back championship together.

Sligo booked their place with a Saturday win over Wicklow.

Victory for Limerick next Saturday will see John Brudair’s side into the last 12 of the championship and in the next round they would play a beaten provincial finalist.
