Shannon recorded a hard-earned win in the AIL on Saturday but there was disappointment for Bruff and Richmond.

Shannon travelled to Blackrock for their re-fixed AIL Division 1B - the original clash abandoned last month following a neck injury to Paddy Butler.

Fitingly Butler was among the try scorers as Shannon recorded a 19-18 win. Butler touched down in the 43rd minute while Rob Guerin also crossed. Tadgh Leader kicked the rest of the points.

Bruff’s troubles continued in Division 2A as they were beaten 32-17 by Banbridge and remain rooted to the bottom of the table.

In Division 2B there was disappointment for Richmond as they suffered a 15-12 loss at home to Tullamore.

All Limerick clubs are back in action next weekend with a full schedule of games across all four divisions in the AIL.
