Limerick GAA have released the fixture details for the latter stages of the county’s football and hurling championships.
This weekend sees football take centre stage with the SFC semi-finals down for decision on Friday night as a double header in Mick Neville Park in Rathkeale. St Patrick’s take on Fr Casey’s at 6.30pm while champions Dromcollogher-Broadford will play Ballylanders at 8.15pm.
The intermediate football semi-finals are also scheduled for this weekend with St Senan’s playing Mountcollins at 2.30pm on Saturday in Newcastle West and Cappamore and Na Piarsaigh clashing at 3.30pm on Sunday in Caherconlish. There are also two relegation games taking place at the weekend. Pallasgreen and Galbally face off in the senior relegation final at 3pm on Saturday in Bruff while on Sunday in Askeaton at 3pm Claughaun and Gerald Griffins meet in intermediate relegation decider.
The dates for the football finals have also been confirmed with the senior showpiece once again in Newcastle West on Sunday, October 12. The intermediate final is on Saturday of that weekend with a venue yet to be confirmed.
The semi-final details for the senior hurling championship have also been finalised and as expected will go ahead as a double header in the Gaelic Grounds on Sunday week, October 5. Doon and Kilmallock will get proceedings underway with a 1.45pm throw-in while champions Na Piarsaigh and Ahane will start at 3.30pm. The hurling final will be in the Gaelic Grounds on Sunday, October 19.
Meanwhile, the Premier IHC semi-finals will be a double header in Kilmallock on Saturday, October 11. Blackrock will play Croom at 2.30pm and Garryspillane meet Bruff at 4.15pm. The final of that competition is fixed for Saturday, October 25, but no venue has been confirmed yet.
