Munster have made ten changes to their side for Saturday’s RaboDirect PRO12 game against Ulster in Thomond Park.
Following last week’s convincing win away to Edinburgh, Munster round off their league campaign at home to Ulster. Both sides are assured of a semi-final place but Ulster are definitely on the road - they will play Leinster - while Munster are almost certain to be away to Glasgow. It is also likely to Munster’s last home game of the season and therefore Rob Penney’s last outing in Thomond Park.
For Munster, James Downey and Casey Laulala, who are also on their way out, team up in the centre again while Duncan Williams partners Ian Keatley at half-back.
Damien Varley captains the side with Paul O’Connell packing dowing alongside Dave Foley in the second row and Paddy Butler, Sean Dougall and James Coughlan forming the back row.
An injury to Duncan Casey gives Quentin McDonald a place on the bench while BJ Botha is also excluded which opens the door for John Ryan to start and Alan Cotter to be on the bench.
Ulster have named a much-weakened team without any of their main stars as they eye up a semi-final clash with Leinster next week.
Saturday’s game kicks off at 6.30pm and is live on RTE.
