LIMERICK FC hope to finalise contract talks for next season with existing squad members in the coming week.

Right now, just three first team regulars, Danny Galbraith, Craig Curran and Robbie Williams, are contracted to remain at Premier Division Limerick FC for next season.

Limerick FC manager, Stuart Taylor said he hoped to finalise contract talks before the playing season ends.

Limerick FC have three fixtures remaining in the Premier Division this season, beginning with Bray Wanderers at the Carlisle Grounds on Sunday next at 3pm.

Taylor said: “At this moment in time the players who are under contract for next season are Danny Galbraith, Craig Curran and Robbie Williams, (the latter two players were given extensions in June). There are a couple of young lads who have contracts for next season too. “We will sit down with the other boys later this week or into next week to let them know what my intentions would be. I don’t believe in doing it at the end of the season.

“I like to be honest with people and give them an opportunity, whether they are not to be at the club next season, or if they are getting an offer of a new contract, they can be a step ahead of other people.

“I don’t think it’s right to leave it until the last game of the season because at the end of the day it is the players livelihoods, their jobs. The sooner they know the better for them and their families.”
