The Munster A squad includes a host of leading names, with the inclusion of thirteen senior players, four of which have played at Heineken Cup level, Billy Holland, Dave O’Callaghan, Sean Dougall and former Leinster winger Conway.

Former Cork hurler Darren Sweetnam will also start on the wing in a dynamic back-line that includes Garryowen’s Ronan O’Mahony who scored a hat-trick of tries for the Munster senior side against London Irish in a pre-season game in August.

Out-half Johnny Holland was ruled out during the week after picking up a groin injury and his place goes to his academy colleague Rory Scannell who makes his B&I Cup debut, while Crescent College Comprehensive Munster Schools Senior Cup winner, Gearoid Lyons, named among the replacements, is featuring in his first Munster A squad.

The Club players included in the side are Dolphin’s Paddy Ryan starting in the front row and Cork Con’s Max Abbott and Niall Kenneally named on the bench. Sub academy player Abbott most recently played in the Munster U20s campaign.

It’s an all family affair for the Munster A’s on Saturday with two sets of brothers involved, both the O’Mahony and Scannell families will be well represented on the day.
