Paul O’Connell will continue his recovery from injury when he lines out for Young Munster against Cork Con in the AIL on Saturday.
And O’Connell’s presence with Young Munster is sure to swell the attendance in Tom Clifford Park for the 1.30pm kickoff. Close to 2,000 supporters showed up in UL on Tuesday afternoon when O’Connell played 40 minutes for Munster ‘A’ against Leinster and with the province desperate to have him back for the Heineken Cup quarter-final against Harlequins on April 7, he will see more action this weekend.
It’s likely he’ll make his first RaboDirect appearance of the season the following Saturday when Munster entertain Connacht in Musgrave Park.
Despite a promising start to the season, Young Munster are now 4th in Division 1A of the AIL, 20 points behind leaders Lansdowne.
