Limerick's Crescent College in Munster Schools Senior Cup semi-final action

TWO Limerick sides are in Pinergy Munster Schools Senior Cup semi-final action this week looking to book a place in this year's final kicking off today, Tuesday.

Crescent College Comprehensive face CBC, of Cork, today, Tuesday at Musgrave Park at 1.45pm in the first of the Munster Schools Senior Cup semi-finals,

Holders Crescent College Comprehensive secured their passage into the semi-finals after winning their quarter-final 23-18 against local rivals Árdscoil Rís.

Crescent have beaten Bandon Grammar School and Ardscoil Ris in their previous outings.

The second Munster Schools Senior Cup semi-final will see St Munchin's College also travel to Cork, this time to face PBC, at Musgrave Park a day later on tomorrow Wednesday, February 22 at 1.30pm.

St Munchin's advanced to the semi-finals by beating Ardscoil Ris.

Meanwhile, three Limerick sides are also involved in Munster Schools Junior Cup quarter-final action later this week. The quarter-final games includes a Limerick derby featuring St Munchin's College and Crescent College Comprehensive at Thomond Park on this Thursday, February 23 at 1.30pm.

The winners will face PB, of Cork, in the semi-finals at Thomond Park on March 1.

On the same afternoon, Ardscoil Ris make the trip to Cork for their Junior Cup quarter-final meeting with Rockwell College at Musgrave Park, 2.15pm.

Another Limerick school, Castletroy College, have secured their place in the Munster Schools Junior Cup semi-finals following their victory over St Munchin's College in the previous round.

Castletroy will face either Ardscoil Ris or Rockwell College in the semi-finals at Thomond Park on March 1.
