LIMERICK camogie officials have confirmed that an incident of alleged racial abuse is currently under investigation.
Croke Park officials are investigating the alleged racial abuse incident involving two teenage girls during a camogie match in the county.
Limerick camogie chairman Sean Condon has confirmed the complaint was made following a junior game.
“It is being dealt with by the appropriate independent committee in Croke Park,” confirmed Condon to this Tuesday’s Irish Examiner.
“It relates to an alleged abusive comment and it came to us by way of complaint and we passed it on to the appropriate authority in Croke Park. They are still looking at it. There is a lot of stuff being said about it, but it is still under investigation as Croke Park are not finished with it.”
He added: “I am not going to say anything about it while Croke Park are dealing with it. We want this dealt with appropriately.”
