There were county finals wins for Adare and Oola on Saturday and Pallasgreen reached the Limerick IHC final but disappointment for the Granagh-Ballingarry camogie players in the Munster club final.
Granagh-Ballingarry were beaten 0-14 to 0-6 by Milford of Cork in the Munster senior camogie final in Charleville, the Cork side winning the title for the third year in succession.
Milford led 0-7 to 0-3 at the break but despite scores from Rebeccan Noonan, Milford proved too strong and ran out eight-point winners.
In the Limerick IHC semi-final replay in Bruff, Pallasgreen set up a final meeting with Monaleen thanks to a 1-15 to 2-10 win over Mungret. Colin Ryan helped himself to 0-11 (ten frees) while Seamus Mulcahy got their goal. For Mungret, Colm Moriarty and Conor Lenihan got their goals, both in the first half.
In the minor ‘B’ football final. Oola were 3-11 to 2-5 winners over St Michael’s (an amalgamation of Claughaun and Old Christians). Two goals from Mikie O’Brien in the first half set Oola on their way and Dubhan O’Grady put the icing on the cake in the second half.
