THE Limerick and District Schoolboy League face Wexford in the quarter-final of the Kennedy Cup at UL at 1pm today, Wednesday.

THE Limerick and District Schoolboy League face Wexford in the quarter-final of the Kennedy Cup at UL at 1pm today, Wednesday.

The LDSL topped Group 6 of the prestigious U-13 inter-league schoolboy competition winning all three of their round robin fixtures to set up day’s quarter-final clash with Wexford.

The LDSL scored six goals and conceded just one in their three fixtures with the Clare, Donegal and Athlone leagues.

Should Limerick District overcome Wexford in their last eight clash, they will face either the Waterford league or the Sligo/Leitrim League at the semi-final stage tomorrow, Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Limerick Desmond League side face the North Dublin Schoolboy League in the quarter-finals of the shield competition at UL at 11am today, Wednesday. The Limerick Desmond finished third in Group 8.

The Limerick County Schoolboy League face North Tipperary in the Bowl quarter-final, for teams finishing second in their groups, at UL today, Wednesday at 1pm.
