Munster face Toulouse in Saturday lunch-time fixture

Four-time Heineken Cup winners Toulouse will be making their first visit to Limerick for the April 5, lunch-time fixture.

Rob Penney’s Munster side secured a home quarter-final thanks to a bonus-point win over Edinburgh in their final pool game.

Munster home quarter-final ticket allocation will be distributed through the province’s rugby clubs, Munster Rugby Supporters Club and to 10-year ticket holders.

Should any tickets remain after these allocations have been processed, they will be released to other long-term ticket holders and season ticket holders.

Away club are entitled to 25% of each ticket category for quarter-final fixtures.

The two sides have met on four occasions previously in the Heineken Cup with each team recording two wins. Munster’s most recent success over the French aristocrats came in the 2008 final at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium.

The mouth-watering fixture at Thomond Park will be followed by the meeting of last season’s beaten finalists, ASM Clermont Auvergne, and Leicester Tigers at Stade Marcel-Michelin.

The Saturday April 5 schedule will be completed when number one seeds, Ulster, host Saracens at Ravenhill. Sunday, 6 April will feature the first match between reigning champions, Toulon, and three-time winners, Leinster at Stade Felix Mayol.

Munster are back in action on Saturday, February 8 when they take on Cardiff Blues in the RaboDirect PRO12 at Thomond Park, 7.15pm.
