Limerick Leader / Limerick Live welcomes new multimedia journalist

THIS week the Limerick Leader / Limerick Live welcomes a new multimedia reporter, Meghann Scully.

A Galway native, Meghann first moved to Limerick in 2007 to study An Ghaeilge agus an Meáin Úra (Irish and New Media) and graduated in 2011. Meghann then studied at NUI Galway where she obtained a Masters in Journalism.

Upon completing her studies, Meghann moved to London and worked for MTV and returned to Ireland in 2014. She spent some time working in Dublin and then made the move to Limerick in 2016, where she has remained ever since.

Meghann has written two books about grief following her own experience having lost her brother, Marcus, and father, Maxie.

“My mother Pauline, stepdad Andrew and cat, Baba, are all back home in Ardrahan which, thanks to the motorway, is less than an hour away,” said Meghann who previously penned a column for the Limerick Leader.

“I'm delighted to be re-joining the Limerick Leader team as well as working across the Iconic group where I'll be heading out and about interviewing people. So, if you see me with a microphone and camera, don't be shy! If there's one thing I love it is talking to people and learning more about who they are and what they have done.”
