Following on from an article by your journalist Nick Rabbitts in your edition of October 11, which outlines the frontline cuts to services following the reduction of the Local Property Tax, in my mind Conn Murray, CEO of Limerick City and County Council must clarify the following:

1. Who in the local authority leaked the document ?

2. How many members knew about the document or had possession of it prior to the article?

3. Fianna Fail members met with the CEO on the eve of the adjourned meeting, where they ascertained that the 3% reduction, circa €500,000, could be carried by back-office cuts. Now it’s obvious the opposite is the case – front line services will be cut. So who told what to whom?
