It runs until Sunday with a huge range of attractions

THERE is a jam-packed line-up of events organised for the Emly Community Festival which runs until Sunday, July 14.

Catherine O'Heney, of Emly Festival Committee and secretary of Emly GAA club, said the ethos of the festival is “leave no one behind”.

There is everything from historical talks to forest walks. From arts and crafts to fun quizzes. Yoga to tea dancing. Special Mass to fancy dress parade and lots more besides.

The committee has pulled out all the stops to ensure there is something for everybody to enjoy and for all ages.

See the Emly Community Council Facebook page for a full list of the packed programme of events taking place over the five days.

Ms O’Heney stresses that all are welcome - from near and far to get involved.

The festival logo of “leave no one behind” is linked to the United Nations sustainable goals and the aim in Emly is to ensure that they live in an inclusive, integrated community, who work together to reduce inequality and exclusion for all residents.

The Emly Community Festival is set to be a perfect example.
