THE main focus on this weekend’s game returns to the Limerick District League Premier Division and while leaders Fairview Rgs are distracted with cup duties, Ballynanty Rvs will be hoping to go to the top of the table if they can win at Nenagh A.
Ballynanty Rovers had no game last weekend, but will be hoping to carry the type of form that has seen them lose just once in the league (to Aisling last November).
Balla’ will be well aware that Nenagh have been playing well and are unbeaten in their last six outings (excluding a penalty shoot out loss in the Tuohy Cup to Fairview).
They have a young side with former Pike youth players Pa Steed and Aaron Cusack now bedding into the junior setup.
Aisling Annacotty and Regional Utd and Pike Rovers v Janesboro are mere ‘mid-table’ games at this stage of the season while Geraldines, seven points from danger, would not turn down another point when they host Mungret Regional.
In the Lawson Cup, holders Fairview Rgs will be favoured to advance when they visit Summerville Rovers. The Premier A side have been improving of late but the Premier league leaders will be keen to keep their momentum going.

Caherdavin Celtic welcome Prospect Priory in the other Lawson Cup tie.
In the Premier A league, leaders Star Rvs will be glad to return to league fare after a couple of tough weeks in cup games versus Premier opposition.
They host Aisling Annacotty B hoping to maintain their two-point lead at the top of the table.
Second placed Moyross have played three games less and on Sunday they welcome third placed Kilmallock Utd A in what could prove a cracking game.
Newport Town welcome Carew Limerick Utd in their remaining tie.
Herbertstown A lead the race in Division 1A by seven points and on Sunday they visit Cappamore hoping to maintain the gap on second placed Murroe who have home advantage against Aisling D.
Shelbourne and Holycross are still well in the promotion race and they face Granville Rangers and Corbally United B respectively.
Division 2A leaders Hyde Rgs travel to Lough Derg. Hoping they slip up are joint second placed Brazuca who welcome Coonagh Utd to UL.
The divisional cups kick off this weekend with some games well worth a visit.
The Division 2B REA Cup pits first v second when Fairview Rangers B host Mungret Regional C. They sides met last weekend and ended in an exciting 1-1 draw. The pick of the action in the Division 1B Calvert Cup is the clash of Patrickswell v Glenview Rovers and Kilmallock Utd B v Lisnagry.
Ballynanty Rovers, leading the way in Division 1B visit Mungret Regional B, vying for a semi final spot while in the 3A Cup, Corbally Utd C welcome leaders Murroe C and Prospect Priory B host a strong Caherdavin Celtic B XI.
