AFTER last week's Munster Cup action, it's a return to league action this weekend.

Leaders Fairview Rgs, following on from last weekend’s victory in the President’s Cup final, travel to a Janesboro side who are starting to gel as a unit following then influx of a number of new signings.

Cian McNamara’s late goal on Saturday was enough for Fairview to defeat Derry outfit, Ardmore and secure their second trophy of the season.

They are playing superbly and in current form it’s hard to see who is going to halt them ‘Boro started slowly but have bounced back with back-to-back wins that pushed them into the top tier.

Veteran striker Shane Clarke is once again in fine goal scoring form showing he has lost none of his appetite.

Pike Rovers dropped points last Sunday when sharing the spoils with Balla. They are at home again on Sunday when they host Mungret Regional.

Paul Danaher’s side have had a decent start to the campaign with striker Cian McNicholas showing the type of form he displayed when he burst on the scene a few years ago.

Pike have Steven McGann back in the fold and he will be a huge plus.

Ballynanty Rvs will have been happy with a share of the points with Pike last Sunday. On Sunday they host Corbally Utd where three points are a must to keep their title charge on course.

Balla are playing well and their new signings are fitting in seamlessly.

Corbally have found life in the top flight a little tougher but they are competing well for the most part. They may find Balla a tougher nut to crack.

Aisling Annacotty have been struggling to get their season off the ground. On Sunday they travel to Garryowen to take on Geraldines. The Dines are holding their own and will not be afraid of Annacotty.

The final Premier game is a real six pointer even at this stage of the season. Despite showing good form in various games, it’s points on the board that count and Athlunkard Villa and Nenagh will be looking at their clash on Sunday as one of the games that they must target for three points.

In the Premier A League, top game look like the clash of Charleville and Kilmallock. Current form suggests Kilmallock should prevail but the local derby element makes it a harder call. Moyross A v Carew Park should also be an entertaining affair.

A mouth-watering game on offer in Division 1A pits Shelbourne A against Herbertstown A. The two sides have climbed the divisions together and both look like they may be challenging for honours again this time out.

Lurking behind is a very strong Granville Rangers side who host Cappamore Celtic where a win would strengthen their challenge.

Division 1B leaders Nenagh face a tricky task away to Kilmallock B. Balla B could take top spot if they beat Croom and Nenagh slip up.

Top game in Division 2A is Hyde Rangers B v Brazuca Utd von Sunday morning. Lough Derg A also with an eye on promotion welcome Aisling Annacotty C.

Prospect Priory B v Summerville Rvs B in Division 2B promises to be a cracking game.
