LIMERICK DISTRICT LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION:

Fairview Rangers 4 Aisling Annacotty 0

FAIRVIEW Rangers charge to retain their LDL Premier League title continues in full tilt.

On Sunday they hit four without reply to see off Aisling Annacotty, making it five wins from five games.

Darragh Rainsford out the Blues on their way midway through the opening half and within ten minutes it was 2-0, Cian McNamara obliging.

Rainsford made it 3-0 just before the hour mark and in the final minutes Brian Aherne tacked on a fourth goal.

Mungret Reg 1 Janesboro 3

DANNY McCarthy fired Mungret into the lead with a superb goal in their home tie with Janesboro.

However, the sides went in level at the break after a foul on Shane Clarke saw the striker covert the resultant penalty kick.
The second half was only seconds old when ‘Boro took the lead following a fine finish by Jack O'Connor.

Mungret worked hard in search of an equaliser but could not find a chink in the Boro armor. With minutes to play Clarke scored his second of the day blasting home a free kick from outside the box.

Nenagh AFC 1 Geraldines 4

BACK-TO-BACK wins for Geraldines sees them move into the top half of the table following a 4-1 win at Nenagh. Alan Keane gave the visitors a half time lead.

Kevin Barry doubled the advantage after the break before Daniel Connolly reduced the deficit. Shane Dillon restored ‘Dines two goal lead and Jason Mullins’s penalty save kept it that way until Tony Mambuana completed the scoring late on.

Regional United 8 Athlunkard Villa 0

REGIONAL United, awaiting their first win of the season, put everything to right for Sunday’s visit of Athlunkard Villa.

The visitors came into the tie with confidence after posting their first win last weekend but they came up against a bang in form United who ran in eight goals without reply.

Kieran O'Connell claimed a hat trick with Jack O'Donovan netting twice. Andrew Cowpar, Marcus Hogan and John Forson were also on the mark.

WEEKEND ROUND-UP:

IN THE Premier A League, Carew Park went joint top with Newport following their 1-0 win over Aisling Annacotty B thanks to a Zak Sheehan goal Jay Ryan and Cian Power were on the mark for Moyross but Star Rvs proved too good, winning 5-2.

Jake Gallagher and Adam Quinlivan were on the mark for the winners as was super-sub, Miguel Valera who went onto to nab a 15-minute hat trick after his introduction.

Prospect Priory fell 3-2 at home to Caherdavin Celtic. Manni Alfred and Onyekachi Onanya scored for the home side, Tommy Glynn, Alan Neill and Liam Morris won it for Celtic.

In Division 1A, Eoin O'Mahoney and Ryan Englishby scored for Ballylanders but they were no match for Herbertstown who ran in seven goals through Oisin O'Grady 2, Bradley McNamara 2, David Hannon, Tyrique Leamy and Kevin Meade.

Pallas Utd beat Granville Rgs 2-0 courtesy of goals from Mike Ryan and John O’Donoghue while Aisling proved too strong for Caherconlish posting a big win.

Alan Rossiter, Jack Considine, Evan Power, Liam Danaher and Calum Ryan shared the goals.

In Division 1B, Nenagh moved a point behind the leaders thanks to a 3-0 win over Glenview Rvs. Robert Ipsalat and Cillian O'Gorman with a brace, did the damage.

Patrickswell overran Kilfrush with scores by Jordan Higgins, Mark O'Halloran, Paul Bennis, Adam Carrig, Paul O'Brien and Jason Gillane.

The top of the table clash in Division 2A saw Brazuca United overcome Lough Derg with a 3-0 win. Matheus Almeida, Rafael Henrique and Matheus Almeida were the winner’s marksmen.

Cappamore B and Meanus ended 2-2. Scorers were John O'Brien and Kieran Hanley for the home side, Robbie O'Keeffe and Mike Punch for Meanus Jack Flavin scored the only goal as Castle Rvs beat Newtown Rovers while Moyross B won 4-2 at Coonagh Utd B.

Cian Moloney and James Hodkinson scored for Coonagh. Tyrone Fitzgerald, Barry Quinn, Aaron Phillips and John Mitchell obLiged for the winners. Abbey Rvs edged out Aisling Annacotty C 2-1 thanks to a brace of goals from Leonard Plunkett.

In Division 2B, Summerville Rvs B moved joint top with a 6-1 win over Geraldines B. Martin Fitzgerald 2, Chris Quinn, Jamie Johnson, Sean Keane and Jamie O'Carroll netted for the winners; Shane Halpin replied for Dines.

Jack Gunning scored twice for the winners as Holycross B edged out Murroe who replied through Alex Malone and Alex Casey while goals from Pat Ryan, Chad Molloy and Ethan O'Sullivan gave Fairview Rgs B a 3-0 win at Corbally Utd C.

Goals from Brinn Holmes (2), Jake Kiely, Pat Nolan, Reece Kelly and John Ryan saw Prospect past Athlunkard Villa B while Mungret overcame Dromore Celtic in a 9-goal thriller.

Daniel Malone (2), Artjons Pucinskis and Cian O'Grady scored for Dromore, Danny Galvin, E McSweeney, Stephen Hackett, Liam Moran and Abdallah Hamareh netted for the winners.

Murroe C lead the way in Div 3A following their 5-1 win over Moyross C. Philip Clancy 2 Cian Power 2 and Adrian Ryan scored for Murroe, Dean Mitchell replied for Moyross.

Alan Wallace, Edward Keogh and CJ Considine scored for Ballynanty Rvs C in a 3-2 win over Parkville B for whom Jonathan Ryan and Brandon Kelly replied.

Knockainey beat Castle Utd 4-3 with Rory Reale scored all four goals. TJ Buckley 2 and Mark Heffernan netted for United.
Lough Derg and Athlunkard Villa B ended 3-3. Shane Grace, Cian Oakley and Riley Smith Coonan were on the mark for4 the home side; Scott Bridges, Peter Taylor and Aidan Ryan obliged for Villa.

Thomas Hogan and Kian Ryan were on the mark for Northside but they fell 3-2 to Shelbourne B for whom Martin Wallace, Paul Lonergan and Alex Robinson netted.

In the Under 17 Premier League, Pike were runaway winners over Mungret thanks to scores from Tiernan Kelly, Dylan Kett, Dylan Browne, Gustavo Dos Santos, Bryan Mambounana, Robbie Burke and Danny Quirke.

Caherdavin Celtic (A Galligan and Dean Graham) and Murroe A (Matt Halvey and Sam Walsh) drew 2-2 while Holycross beat Aisling Annacotty A 2-1. D Barry and Tommy Reidy scored the winning goals. Adi O'Mara replied for Aisling.

In Division One, James McDonagh, Ruaidhri Mitchell, Dean Connery, Conor Joyce, Finn Carroll and Kevin Kirwin accounted for the Corbally goals in a big win over Aisling B for whom Oran Ryan and Mohammed Mukbel were on the mark.  

Jack Hickey and Sam Hogan were on the mark for Lisnagry but opponents Regional Utd hit six through Daithi Mullins 3, Harry Batelle 2 and Luke O Riordan to take the points.

Maksynm Sarnavskyi 3, Mark Power 2 and Gabriel Sousa Araujo helped Charleville to a 6-1 win over Lough Derg for whom M O'Sullivan was on target.

In Division Two, Ben Corbett, Jack Roche and Ryan McCarthy guided Herbertstown to a 3-1 win over Summerville Rvs; Adam Piotrowski replied and Mike Koyce scored five times for Caherconlish in a big win at Lough Derg B.

Ryan Mannion, Aaron O'Brien and Danny Ryan also scored for the winners; D Morgan netted for the home side.
