LDL PREMIER DIVISION:
Ballynanty Rovers 4 Aisling Annacotty 0
BALLYNANTY Rvs marked their first competitive game in Ballynanty Park, formerly Bateman Park, in fine fashion posting a 4-0 win over Aisling to get their season off to a flyer.
Ballynanty Rvs should be rightly proud of a superb facility, which is a credit to all involved. The players soaked up the atmosphere and after weathering a lively Aisling start, took control of the game to post a deserved win.
Both sides were parading a number of new signings, some fitting in like a glove and some others may need a little time to adjust to their new surroundings.

One such player, Vinny Ryan had a superb outing after an early introduction. Balla fought off their Premier rivals for the Pallas man who looks well at home at this level.
Balla had fine performers all across the park but full back Calum Kiely was superb for the winners and with a season now under his belt at this level, will just continue to grow in confidence.
Aisling will be disappointed. They started well with their pace looking like it would cause the home side trouble but faded as the game went on. They are a technically gifted side, but need to match it with the type of intensity Balla showed on Sunday.
Balla took the lead just before the half hour mark, Leon Kirrane and Jamie Greaves combined down the right for the latter to pull a ball back across goal for Shane Walsh to calmly fire into the bottom corner.
Balla doubled their advantage ten minutes after the restart when Graeves again provided the ammo for Kane Connelly to finish in style.
Connolly scored his second and Balla’s third on 72 minutes after being teed up by Vinny Ryan and a minute later the scoring was complete when Kirrane dispossessed the defender before shooting past keeper Carl Williams

Mungret Reg 4 Geraldines 2
