The victorious Laurel Hill team
LAUREL Hill Secondary School FCJ are All-Ireland Junior C Camogie Champions after an emphatic 7-9 to 1-3 win against St Wolstan’s of Kildare at Johnstown GAA Club in Kilkenny.
The South Circular Road school hit the ground running registering 1-1 in the first 70 seconds with a point from Claragh Collins and a goal from Hannah Murphy.
Led by the impressive half forward line with Collins lining out alongside joint captains Rosie McCaul and Sophie O’Grady, the Limerick school assumed control. Goals from Hannah Murphy, O’Grady and Milly O’Sullivan gave Laurel Hill Secondary School a commanding 4-6 to 0-2 lead at half-time.
Collins, Orlaith Sheehan and O’Grady added second half goals.
