THE LIMERICK senior hurlers are back in action this weekend. Limerick take on great rivals Tipperary in a special challenge game in support of the Dillon Quirke Foundation on Saturday evening. The game will take place as part of the inaugural Champions Under Lights event at Fethard Town Park at 6pm.
The event was established in honour of the late Dillon Quirke who collapsed and died of sudden adult death syndrome (SADS) on August 5, 2022 in Semple Stadium Thurles.
Through Champions Under Lights, Fethard Town Park aims to raise much needed funds to raise awareness of SADS and fund widespread cardiac screening for young people (aged 13-17) involved in sport.
The action will also see All-Ireland champions Kerry face Tipperary in a senior football game at the Fethard venue earlier at 4pm.
