Three Limerick U20 Hurling County finals down for decision this weekend

THREE Limerick U20 Hurling Championship finals are down for decision for this weekend. Na Piarsaigh and Mungret St Paul's meet in the Premier Limerick U20 Hurling Championship final on Sunday at 2pm in Mick Neville Park.

Limerick GAA opted to change the grade from U21 to U20 last year. Na Piarsaigh are making their first final appearance since 2021, while Mungret St Paul's last claimed the title in 2023, back when the competition was still at U21 level.

Mungret St Paul's recorded an impressive thirteen point victory over reigning champions Monaleen in their semi-final last Tuesday evening. Na Piarsaigh got the better of Doon in their semi-final.

The Cahedavin club can call on four senior hurlers in their U20 side which include James Finn, Eoin Brosnan, Mark Hogan and Adam Fitzsimons. Mungret St Paul's are strongly backboned by Limerick U20 hurlers Fintan Fitzgerald, Mark O'Brien, Sean Duff and minor hurling star Killian Begley.

Garryspillane take on Naomh Eoin in the Limerick U20 A Hurling Championship final on Saturday afternoon in Kilmallock GAA Grounds at 2pm. Limerick senior hurling panelist Hugh Flanagan is on the back of an impressive season on the 'Bouncers' run to winning the Premier Intermediate title.

Naomh Eoin are an amalagamation of the Knockainey and Hospital-Herbertstown GAA clubs. Former Limerick minor hurling captain Diarmuid Hurley scored a goal late on in their semi-final victory over Ballybrown to seal their place into the county final.

Belville Gales play Blackrock in the Limerick U20 B Hurling Championship final on Sunday at 12pm in Mungret St Paul's GAA club. Blackrock defeated Coshlea Gaels in the U20 B Hurling Championship semi-final on last Wednesday evening. Feenagh-Kilmeedy and Feohanagh combine at U20 level to form Belville Gaels, and the West Limerick outfit secured victory in their semi-final clash against Ballybricken-Bohermore-Fedamore.
