DONAL O'GRADY has stepped down as Limerick minor hurling manager. O'Grady took charge of the Limerick minor hurlers in 2025 and after a year in charge the Granagh-Ballingarry native has decided to step away from his role.

The Shannonsiders finished in fourth place in the Munster minor hurling championship round-robin series. Limerick then advanced to the All-Ireland preliminary quarter-final where they recorded a victory over Wexford. Waterford defeated Limerick in the All-Ireland MHC quarter-final 1-20 to 0-14.

The former Limerick senior hurling captain was part of John Kiely's management team between 2020 and 2024 where Kiely's side went on to win four All-Ireland titles and five Munster Championships.

Portlaoise native Diarmuid Mullins has been announced as the new Limerick minor hurling manager. Mullins has previously worked as Limerick minor hurling manager and U20 hurling manager. The Mungret St Paul's clubman won Munster titles in 2019 and 2020 with the Limerick minor hurlers.

After managing the Limerick minor hurlers for two seasons in 2019 and 2020, he moved up to take charge of the county’s U20 team. The former Laois footballer managed the U20s from 2021 to 2023, leading Limerick to the 2022 All-Ireland U20 final, where they were narrowly beaten by Kilkenny.

After the 2023 season Diarmuid Mullins stepped down as Limerick U20 hurling manager.
