GALWAY native Liam Gordon has been appointed as the referee for this Saturday's All-Ireland senior hurling quarter-final between Limerick and Dublin.
Gordon refereed Limerick's round three Munster SHC clash with Cork in May. Meanwhile, Sean Stack will referee the other All-Ireland SHC quarter-final between Galway and Tipperary in the TUS Gaelic Grounds on Saturday.
John Kiely's side face Dublin on Saturday at 4pm in Croke Park and Galway meet Tipperary at 6:15pm in the TUS Gaelic Grounds.
A win for Limerick would see them advance to the All-Ireland semi-final against Kilkenny on July 6 in Croke Park. The winners of Galway and Tipperary will meet Cork in the All-Ireland semi-final on July 5.

2018 was the last time Limerick came through the All-Ireland quarter-final route on their way to All-Ireland glory. Limerick advanced directly into the All-Ireland semi-finals for the six years between 2019 and 2024.

Dublin got their championship campaign back on track with a resounding 3-25 to 0-13 victory over Kildare in the All-Ireland preliminary quarter-final on Saturday.
This is the first meeting between Limerick and Dublin since the 2015 qualifier where the Dubs’ defeated the Shannonsiders by a single point. Seven members of the current Limerick senior hurling panel featured in that clash, including Nickie Quaid, Cian Lynch, Declan Hannon, Shane Dowling, Dan Morrissey and David Reidy. Chris Crummey and Danny Sutcliffe are the only survivors from the Dublin team in 2015.
